We are very lucky to be able to build up a great relationship with Kindy. Each week we visit them or they come over and visit Rm 1 and 3. When they visit us: *we get to know the children and they get to know us. *the children see where they will start school - the rooms, the children in them and how they rooms are set up and operate. When we visit them: * the children meet up with friends or make new friends. * they are able to have a hour of developmental time. * it helps the children make the transition from kindy to school. *we, the teachers spend time with the children in their familiar surroundings.
Children who have not attended Betty Montford Kindergarten settle in very quickly to the familiar type of programme and enjoy the sessions.
